2013 Ford F-150 FX4: Rough Country 4-Inch Lift

We put a Rough Country 4-inch lift on a 2013 Ford F-150 FX4 — a real lift, not just a level, giving the truck the clearance and aggressive stance to run a bigger tire and take on rougher ground. A clean build on the last of the 12th-gen F-150s.

This F-150 FX4 came through Juggernaut USA in Wheat Ridge (Denver), CO for a proper lift. The FX4 is Ford's off-road package, so it is a natural base to build up — 4 inches of Rough Country lift opens serious clearance, makes room for an aggressive tire, and squares the stance into something that looks as capable as it now is.

A 4-inch lift, not just a level

A leveling kit squares the stance; a 4-inch lift changes what the truck can do. It raises the whole truck for real ground clearance and opens room for a much larger tire than a level allows. On the FX4 — which already has the off-road hardware — the lift turns a capable half-ton into one that looks and works the part on the trail.

Protect the underside

A lifted F-150 that sees dirt needs its engine, transmission, and transfer case covered. We make 1/4-inch aluminum skid plates for this generation right here in Colorado: our 2009-2014 Ford F-150 full skid plate package shields all three with a lifetime warranty. Clearance and protection go hand in hand.

Common questions on this build

What is the difference between a lift and a leveling kit?

A leveling kit raises the front to match the rear for stance and a modest tire bump. A lift raises the whole truck for real clearance and a much bigger tire. This build is a full 4-inch lift.

How big a tire fits on a 4-inch lifted F-150?

A 4-inch lift clears a substantially larger tire than stock or a level — the exact size depends on wheel offset and trimming. We spec it to clear at full lock.

Can you lift and armor my F-150?

Yes — lifts, leveling, wheels and tires, and our own aluminum skid plates for the F-150. We do it in-house.
