Subaru Ascent: RalliTEK Lift Kit Install

We lifted a Subaru Ascent with a RalliTEK lift kit — swapping out the old setup for a fresh one to raise Subaru's biggest SUV, add clearance, and make room for a real all-terrain. Proof that even a three-row family hauler can be a legitimate light-overland rig.

This Ascent came through Juggernaut USA in Wheat Ridge (Denver), CO to have its lift refreshed. The owner already had a lift on it that was past its prime, so we removed the old kit and installed a new RalliTEK setup — cleaner, higher, and matched to the way they actually use the truck. The Ascent is a great platform for this: big, comfortable, and surprisingly capable once you give it clearance and tires.

The RalliTEK lift on a three-row Ascent

People do not expect to lift a family SUV, but the Ascent takes to it well. The RalliTEK kit raises it enough to open real clearance and fit a taller all-terrain, without giving up the comfortable ride the Ascent is bought for. On bronze wheels and A/T tires, it goes from mall-crawler to a rig that can actually get to the trailhead and haul the whole family there.

Swapping an old lift for a fresh one

This was a lift swap, not a first-time install. Components wear, and a tired lift rides worse than it should. Pulling the old kit and fitting a new RalliTEK setup brought the height and ride back to where the owner wanted them — a good reminder that a lift is a maintenance item, not a one-and-done. If your lifted Subaru has started riding rough, it may be due for the same.

Common questions on this build

Can you really lift a Subaru Ascent?

Yes. A modest lift like the RalliTEK kit adds clearance and tire room while keeping the Ascent's comfortable ride — a genuinely good light-overland platform for a family.

How do I know if my lift needs replacing?

If the ride has gotten harsh, bouncy, or noisy, or the height has sagged, the components are likely worn. Swapping in a fresh kit restores both the stance and the ride.

Can you lift my Subaru?

Yes — Ascent, Outback, Forester, Crosstrek. Lifts, tires, armor, and lights, done in-house.
