Not sure if your truck has an active air dam?
2021+ F-150 XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum trims have an active air dam — the small flap below the front bumper that lowers automatically at highway speeds to improve aerodynamics.
If you have a 2021 or newer F-150 in one of those trims, select "Has Active Air Dam." Base XL and STX trims, and all 2015–2020 trucks, do not have it.
Good news: the active air dam is removable. Taking it off lets our skid plate cover more of the underbody for maximum protection — a popular choice for off-road and overland builds.

The fitment is spot on. The powder coating is fantastic. Packaging needs to be improved, had a scratch on one of the plates due to rubbing from the nut certs that are used to bolt down the access panel. But it is a skid plates and im sure it will have more. Other than that it's a great full skid plate. The only main complaint is the juggernaut logos are not cleaned up afterbeing cut out. Shipping was fast, I would recommend this to anyone looking to protect the underside!

The quality and ease of installation is awesome! The only negative is that the oil drain opening is not located in the correct area on my 26 f150 with the 2.7 . I have to remove the skid plate to change the oil. Maybe in the future y’all can make the removable oil panel longer to accommodate this. Get up the good work, awesome protection!

Does the transmission skid / full package replace the factory felt cover?
Yes — it replaces the factory felt under-tray that's prone to sagging and failing with a real 1/4" aluminum skid plate.
Does it fit the PowerBoost hybrid?
Yes — the package includes an extension plate to reach the further-back crossmember on PowerBoost trucks.
What about the Active Air Dam on 2021+ trucks?
Two options: keep it by choosing the Active-Air-Dam-compatible engine skid, or remove the air dam for maximum coverage.
Does it fit the F-150 Tremor?
Yes.
Will it work on a lifted truck?
It's not compatible with trucks lifted 4" or more — those use crossmember drop brackets that interfere.
What is a skid plate, and what does it protect?
Underbody armor that shields your oil pan, transmission, catalytic converter, transfer case, and front differential from rocks, road debris, potholes, and trail impacts.
What are Juggernaut skid plates made of?
1/4" 5052 aluminum, powder-coated black, with steel mounting brackets where needed — made in-house in Wheat Ridge, Colorado from US-sourced aluminum.
Why aluminum instead of steel?
Aluminum is roughly half the weight of steel and won't rust — full-strength underbody protection without the weight penalty or corrosion of steel armor.
Will a skid plate hurt my gas mileage?
Negligibly — an aluminum set weighs about half what steel does, so the added weight is minimal.
Do I need one if I mostly drive on the street?
Yes — potholes, road debris, and steep driveways damage undercarriages even off the trail. It's cheap insurance against expensive repairs.
Do I have to drill or modify my vehicle to install it?
No — every Juggernaut skid plate is 100% bolt-on to factory mounting points. No drilling, cutting, or welding.
Can I install it myself?

Can I still change my oil with the skid plate installed?
