Leveling kits, done the right way

Most trucks and SUVs leave the factory sitting nose-low on purpose — room to squat under a load. A leveling kit raises the front to sit even with the rear, so the truck looks right and clears a taller tire without the cost or complexity of a full lift. It is the single most popular first mod, and on most trucks it is a same-day job.

The catch is that not all levels are equal — a cheap spacer on tired struts rides nothing like a quality coilover, and any level still changes your alignment. We spec the right parts for how you actually drive, align every truck on our in-house rack, and because we mount and balance tires here, we sort what clears in the same visit.

Every leveling job includes

  • Post-level alignment to factory spec
  • Front height set correctly — spacer, coilover, or spring
  • Ride quality and geometry kept inside spec
  • Rear matched so the truck sits level, not high
  • Wheel and tire fitment sorted in the same shop
  • Torque check and road test before pickup
  • Lifetime warranty on the labor

Spacer, coilover, or spring — the three ways to level

There are three ways to level a truck, and the right one comes down to budget and how you drive. A strut spacer sits on top of the factory strut — the cheapest route and fine for a mild level on a newer truck, but it adds no damping, so on high-mileage struts it can ride harsh. A preloaded leveling coilover (Bilstein 6112, ReadyLift SST, and similar) replaces the strut entirely — more money, but you get fresh damping, adjustable height, and the best ride. On trucks that use them, leveling springs or torsion keys are the factory-style move. We will tell you honestly which one your truck and its mileage call for.

A level tops out around 2 to 2.5 inches up front, which clears a 33 on most trucks. Anything bigger — 35s and up — is full-lift territory: the factory upper control arm runs out of caster, so it needs an aftermarket UCA and often a diff drop. Whichever method you pick, a level changes caster, camber, and toe, so every truck leaves on our alignment rack and gets a road test.
