Catalytic converter shields, by vehicle

Every shield here is CNC plasma-cut from 1/4-inch 5052-H32 aluminum, folded on a press brake, welded and powder coated in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Each one is cut for a specific underbody — it follows the existing geometry instead of hanging flat beneath it, bolts to factory mounting points, and carries a lifetime warranty.

Two things separate a shield that works from one that looks like it does. The first is thickness. A great deal of what is sold as converter protection is sheet rather than plate — thin steel or thin aluminum, sometimes little more than a heavier splash guard. Because resistance to bending scales with the square of thickness, that gap is far wider than the numbers suggest. The second is coverage: a plate has to run past the pipe on both sides of the converter. Cover only the body of it and the cut has been moved a few inches, not blocked.

What we cut for

  • Ford — F-150 (2009–2014 and 2015–2026), Expedition, Ranger and Ranger Raptor. On these trucks the converter sits close enough to the transmission that one plate protects both.
  • Chevrolet and GMC — Silverado and Sierra 1500, Silverado and Sierra 2500HD/3500HD, Colorado and Canyon.
  • Ram ProMaster — the front plate covers engine, transmission and catalytic converter in a single piece, which the front-wheel-drive layout makes possible.
  • Mercedes Sprinter — a dedicated converter guard fitting the full 2010–2026 range, 2WD, 4x4 and AWD.
  • Nissan NV1500 / NV2500 / NV3500 — 2011–2021. A discontinued platform, which makes a stolen converter worse rather than better: replacement emissions parts get scarcer and dearer every year.
