Safety First!

The skid plates can be installed on the ground, but if you do decide to jack up your vehicle to get more room for the install ALWAYS use jack stands. Never go underneath your vehicle on jacks alone

Front and Engine Skid Plate Install

Starting from the front of the vehicle, remove the factory crash plate by removing the (4) M8 bolts circled in red below. The factory crash plate that spans from frame rail to frame rail can be discarded, it will not be reused with the skid plates.

Install 5/16" Clip Nuts

The clip nuts will be installed with the square nut on top of the subframe as shown in the picture below. A helpful tip to make sure the clip nut is centered over the frame holes is once the clip nut is installed use one of the 5/16” bolts and thread it into the clip nut by hand without the skid plate and the bolt will center the clip nut on the frame.

Install Front Skid Plate

Once the (4) clip nuts are installed, the skid plates can now be installed. Start with the front most skid with the “Juggernaut USA” logo. Using the provided (4) M8 x 30mm long bolts and washers thread the front of the skid plate into where the factory crash plate was removed in step 2.

Next use the provided (2) 5/16” bolts and washers to secure the rear of the skid plate to the clip nuts installed in step 2. Only turn these bolts a few threads in so that you have room to slide the second plate on top of the back of the front plate.

Install Engine Skid Plate

Now the rear portion of the engine skid plate can be installed. The front end of this skid plate is slotted and can be slid above the back of the front skid plate installed in step 5. Once this plate is slid into place the rear (2) 5/16” bolts and washers can be used to secure the skid plate as shown below. Once the rear (2) 5/16” bolts and washers are installed, make sure all the skid plates are lined up and you can tighten all bolts to 20 ft-lbs and the front and engine skid plate install is complete!
