We built out a Jeep Wrangler JKU with a Rough Country 3.5-inch lift, Fuel wheels on Toyo Open Country M/Ts, a rear bumper with tire carrier, an angry grille with aftermarket headlights, and a Rough Country exhaust. A clean, well-rounded build that hits the sweet spot of clearance, capability, and looks.
This JKU came through Juggernaut USA in Wheat Ridge (Denver), CO for the classic Wrangler build package — enough lift and tire to be genuinely capable, armor and recovery for the trail, and the styling touches that give it presence. It is the build most Jeep owners actually want: a big jump in capability and looks without going full rock-buggy.

Rough Country 3.5-inch lift on Fuel wheels and Toyo M/Ts
The 3.5-inch lift is the heart of the build — enough to clear an aggressive tire and open real ground clearance while keeping the Jeep easy to live with daily. We paired it with Fuel wheels wrapped in Toyo Open Country M/Ts, a mud-terrain that bites hard off-road and fills out the fenders. It is the combination that transforms a stock JKU's stance and capability in one step.
Rear armor and recovery
Out back we fit a rear bumper with an integrated spare-tire carrier and D-ring shackle mounts — so the heavy mud-terrain spare is carried on real steel instead of the factory tailgate mount, and the Jeep has proper rear recovery points. Inner fender liners keep mud and debris out of the engine bay. It is the protection and function that make a lifted Jeep trail-ready, not just tall.
The details: grille, lighting, and exhaust
To finish it we swapped in an angry grille with aftermarket headlights for a meaner face, added LED tail and brake lights for visibility, and ran a Rough Country exhaust for a deeper note and a little more character. Small touches, but together they turn a stock Sport into a Jeep that looks and sounds built.
Common questions on this build
Is a 3.5-inch lift enough for a Jeep?
For most owners, yes. It clears an aggressive 35-class tire, adds real clearance, and keeps the Jeep driving well on the road — the best balance of capability and daily livability without needing an axle swap or long arms.
Why a rear tire carrier instead of the factory mount?
A bigger, heavier mud-terrain spare overloads the factory tailgate hinge over time. A bumper-mounted carrier supports the weight properly and adds recovery points at the same time.
Can you build my Wrangler?
