- Using the provided (4) 5/16” clip nuts install them in the driver side frame rail and the rear crossmember in the locations highlighted in red. They will be inserted into the square holes adjacent to the circle holes so that the “nut” portion of the clip nut aligns with the circle holes.
- Once the clip nuts are installed you can install the skid plate itself. Using the provided (4) 5/16” grade 8 bolts and washers place the skid plate up with the arrow facing the front of the vehicle and loosely tighten all the bolts.
- Once the skid plate is aligned with the edge of the frame rail and edge of the rear crossmember the bolts can be tightened to OEM specifications.
