SKID PLATES

Skid plates protect the parts that hang lowest under your vehicle: the oil pan, transmission, catalytic converters, transfer case and fuel tank. Ours are cut from 1/4" 5052 aluminum, bolt to factory mounting points with no drilling, and are made in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

How to choose skid plates

Every plate here is CNC plasma-cut from 1/4″ 5052-H32 aluminum, press-brake formed, powder coated black, and bolts to factory mounting points with no drilling. We make them in Wheat Ridge, Colorado and back them with our Limited Lifetime Manufacturer's Warranty.

Start with what's exposed. Factory protection on most trucks covers the front, if anything. The transmission, catalytic converters, transfer case and fuel tank are usually open. A full package covers the engine, transmission and transfer case; fuel tank plates are sold separately where we make them.

Then check four things on any plate: thickness (1/4″ resists bending far better than the common 3/16″), a named alloy (5052-H32), a powder-coat finish, and oil drain and filter access so oil changes don't mean dropping the armor.

Prices: individual truck plates run about $300–$875 and full packages $910–$1,565, published on every product page. Our skid plate cost guide breaks down what drives the price. Weighing materials? Read aluminum vs. steel skid plates. New to underbody armor? Start with what a skid plate is.
