Thickness does more work than material name: resistance to permanent bending
scales with the square of plate thickness, so 1/4″ 5052-H32 aluminum
takes a bigger hit before it stays bent than the 3/16″ steel most kits run —
at about half the weight, and it never rusts. Steel’s honest advantage is
surface hardness: if your truck lives on rock ledges, steel gouges less. For
most owners, the thicker aluminum wins the trade.
Seem to work but fine tuning needed for fitment. A little too long for my promaster. Should work well in the end

Not sure if your truck has an active air dam?
Most 2021+ trucks came with the active (lowering) air dam. The FIT tab asks for it and picks the matching plate either way — if you're unsure, text your VIN or trim to us and we'll confirm before you buy.
Does it fit the PowerBoost hybrid & lifted trucks?
Yes — select your engine in the FIT tab (PowerBoost has its own plate). Bolts to factory mount points, so leveling kits and lifts are no issue.
Does it change ground clearance?
It mounts flush to the factory crossmembers, so any change is minimal — you gain protection without meaningfully lowering the truck.
Will it affect cooling or airflow?
No. The plates are cut with airflow and oil-drain access in mind, so engine and transmission cooling are unaffected.
