We modified a Hummer H1's bed rack so the rear doors clear and open freely — a custom fabrication fix that made a rack that looked right actually work with the truck. The kind of one-off metalwork that turns a problem into a clean solution.
This H1 came through Juggernaut USA in Wheat Ridge (Denver), CO with a bed rack that fouled the rear doors — it looked the part but blocked access. Rather than live with it, we cut, re-fit, and re-welded the rack so the rear doors clear and open fully, keeping the rack's function and looks intact. It is exactly the kind of custom fab work we do every day, on a not-so-everyday truck.

Fixing a rack that fought the truck
A rack is only good if you can still use the truck around it. This one blocked the rear doors, so we reworked the tube structure — trimming and re-welding it — to give the doors clearance while keeping the rack solid and looking right. It is a small job that makes a daily difference in how usable the truck is.
Common questions on this build
Can you modify a rack or bumper that does not fit right?
Yes — that is core custom fab work. We cut, re-fit, and re-weld racks, bumpers, and mounts so they work with your vehicle instead of against it.
Do you do custom fabrication on any vehicle?
Yes — from a Hummer H1 to a daily truck. If it is metal and it needs to fit or be built, we can do it.
Can you build a custom rack for my rig?
Yes — bed racks, roof racks, and mounts, designed and welded in-house.
