Skid Plate Installation in Denver, CO
We build 1/4-inch aluminum skid plates here in Denver and bolt them on right — engine, transmission, transfer-case, and fuel-tank protection, with oil-drain access kept and a lifetime warranty. Shop ours or bring your own.
We make the plates — and install them right
We are not just an install shop for skid plates — we manufacture them. We CNC-cut and press 1/4-inch 5052-H32 aluminum in our Denver shop, powder coat it, and back it with a lifetime warranty. So when you come in for skid plate installation, you can run our plates — engineered to bolt on with oil-drain and service access kept — or bring another brand. Either way it goes on torqued, correct, and clean.
A skid plate only protects if it is mounted right: full contact with the frame, the correct hardware, no rattles, and drain and service access preserved so you are not pulling the plate for every oil change. We install in the same shop that builds them, so we know exactly how they fit — and why 1/4-inch aluminum takes a hit and will not rust out like steel.
Every skid plate install includes
- Plates bolted to the frame with the correct hardware
- Full contact and no rattles
- Oil-drain and filter access kept
- Fitment confirmed for your year and trim
- Torque check and road test
- Lifetime warranty on our aluminum plates
Aluminum vs steel — and why the mount matters
Our plates are 1/4-inch 5052-H32 aluminum, and that matters underneath a truck. Aluminum will not rust the way steel does — a real thing in Colorado winters — and it is lighter, so you protect the underbody without piling on weight. At a quarter inch it still takes a serious hit, and we finish every plate in powder coat with oil-drain cutouts so routine service never means pulling the armor.
The other half is the install. A skid plate that is only half-mounted or hung on the wrong hardware transfers impact into the wrong places and rattles itself loose. We bolt each plate to the frame with full contact and the correct hardware, keep your drain and service access, and torque-check it before it leaves. We build these plates here, so we know the fitment cold — and we will install a brand you already own the same careful way. Shop our skid plates or bring yours in.
