Lift a Tacoma the right way
A Tacoma lift lives and dies on the front end. The Tacoma runs a coilover independent front suspension with tight upper-control-arm and CV clearance, so height, coilover choice, and control-arm geometry all have to move together. Crank on a spacer and skip the geometry and you get a rougher ride, CV-axle bind, early ball-joint wear, and a truck that eats its front tires. Setting preload correctly and correcting the geometry — a UCA and a diff drop when the lift calls for it — is the difference between a lift that lasts and one that comes back.
We build Tacomas across all three generations, and each has its own trap. 2nd gen (2005–2015) is leaf-sprung out back and sags under a bumper or camper. 3rd gen (2016–2023) can carry KDSS or X-REAS, which change how the kit goes in and have to be planned around. 4th gen (2024+) rides on the new TNGA-F platform. Lifting a Tacoma, generation by generation
Not every Tacoma lift is the same job. On a 3rd gen, the factory upper control arm runs out of alignment adjustment as you add height — past about 2.5–3 inches the stock arm can't pull the caster back to spec, so we fit an aftermarket UCA (Icon, Total Chaos, Camburg, or Dirt King), and on taller setups a differential-drop kit to bring the CV and diff angles back and keep the axles and ball joints happy. If your truck has KDSS or X-REAS, we account for it when we spec and fit the kit.
Out back, a front lift with no rear attention leaves the truck nose-high and squatting under load. We match rear height with add-a-leaf packs, lift blocks, or full replacement leaf packs (Deaver, Alcan, or Dakar), and new rear shocks, so the truck sits level and rides right with a bumper, drawers, or a camper in the bed. Then it goes on the alignment rack — every time.

3rd gens are genuinely tight — offset and backspacing matter as much as lift height. We spec the tire, wheel, and trimming together so it clears at full lock and full compression.
