How much lift for the tires you want
Most F-150 lifts start with a tire goal. A 2"–2.5" level clears 33s on most setups and evens out the factory nose-down stance. Getting into 35s usually means a 3.5"–6" lift and the right wheel offset, and 37s is a full lift plus fender trimming. The generation matters too — 13th gen (2015–2020), 14th gen (2021–2024), and 15th gen (2024+) each mount differently, and EcoBoost, Coyote V8, PowerBoost, and Lightning all have their own quirks.
